About Me

Hello!

My name is Sarah Grace White. I am a Special Education (K-8 Interventionist) major with a minor in Religion: Missions Emphasis. I am passionate about helping all of my students learn to love learning, and I hope this website will help you to do the same!

I have three years left to complete my undergraduate degree. After graduating, I hope to teach at either an elementary or a middle school and work with special education students as an interventionist or resource teacher.  I love working with younger students, and helping them grow through engaging and immersive learning experiences.

My current technology skills include fluency in working with both Windows and Mac operating systems and an understanding of how to work with basic software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education Technology was a course that taught me how to use technology with creativity and innovation in the classroom. I explored a variety of digital resources and online software. I worked collaboratively to develop plans of how to use these types of technology in my classroom one day. Because I plan to teach Special Education, I would still like to learn more about assistive technologies and the ways that I can use them to help students. I plan to learn more about these technologies through teacher observation and online research. I also plan to follow several Special Education bloggers who might discuss more about the most strategic and effective ways to use assistive technologies in teaching.
